FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHY ONLY 10 MINUTES?
This is a popular question and once you see the sessions you will fully understand. With the lessons being one-on-one your child is receiving 10 full minutes of personal training. It is hard work physically and sometimes emotionally, so 10 minutes is all a child can handle.
ARE THERE FOOD RESTRICTIONS
YES! No large meals 3 hours prior to lessons. Dry snacks and juice are okay up until 2 hours prior and nothing at all by mouth less than 2 hours prior to lessons. Swimming is a strenuous activity and if there is food or dairy in the stomach it will likely cause nausea
DO YOU OFFER GROUP LESSONS?
No. All of my sessions are one on one, child and instructor
DOES THE WATER BURN THEIR EYES?
No. My pool is professionally maintained. Although it is chlorine there is just enough to sanitize but not cause irritation
DO YOU TEACH CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Yes. I've worked with dozens of children with their unique needs from nonverbal, behavioral and/or cognitive delays. The program will be molded to your child's capabilities and usually ends up being an amazing outlet for these children.
DO THE KIDS CRY
Although most kids do cry the first few days they usually cheer up at the end of the first week. Some kids do cry the entire basic training and some never cry at all. Every child is different, but if you stick with it and encourage them, they will learn to love and enjoy the water
